It is true that there are patches for any piece of s/w including Linux, Unix, etc.

There NOWHERE NEAR AS MANY CRITICAL SECURITY FLAWS though. Check out www.cert.org and do a comparison.

I don't know about mandrake but Red-Hat has a tool that as long as you are connected to the Internet it allows you to install ALL updates and install them -- selectively if you want -- with 2-3 keystrokes.

Just educate yourself on what is a critical security flaw and what is a general s/w defect, survey ALL platforms of interest (see the above URL) and THEN DRAW and NOT JUMP to conclusions.

So that you can save YOURSELF the standard pain of the eXPerience...(Unless you enjoy it ofcourse wink )
