Hmm. What are you doing wrong?
I've installed IE 7 on three different systems so far and all 3 installations were without difficulty. I'm currently typing this on IE7 on my home system, which is a bog-standard Powerspec running XP SP2.

That's 100% success rate. happy

Sounds like you're either incompetent or spreading FUD...
