How is it double the trouble?
MS isn't doing much to correct the multiple holes currently in IE nor are they advancing it. Its also a big target for those who do want to do wrong. Therefore, IE equals a whole lot of trouble. Not using it as a browser will definetly lower the overall risk.

Mozilla on the other hand isn't a big target. So, total risk is already very low. Its access level to the OS is much lower further lowering the overall "trouble" compared to IE. So, Mozilla is less trouble when compared to IE.

On that logic, not using IE lowers your risk dramatically, and using Mozilla might push it up a little, but nowhere close to doubling your previous risk.

Other than retraining costs, I don't see how a person can go wrong. Its a win-win situation. Not only that, in the worst case scenario Mozilla gets in the spotlight and becomes worse than IE... you can always uninstall. Its a perfect solution for ANY websurfer plus you get more useful/productive features with other browsers than IE!!!
