A note on VBScript
VBScript and Javascript in IE use the same MS runtime engine behind the scenes (although the interpreters are in different DLLs) unless you've upgraded to the Sun engine for Java. Both have the same level of exploitiablity, only VBScript is easier for the novice hacker (aka 'script kiddie') to write in, hence it gets a bad rap while Javascript gets ignored. Point is, the flaw is at a lower level than the language a script is written in.
