OK, I'll bite
How does a browser not being integrated into the OS make it more or less secure? It either has security flaws or it doesn't. Being integrated into the OS has nothing to do with it. So is it your contention that Firefox has no security flaws? I'll be happy to point it out when one is discovered. So it doesn't use VBScript or ActiveX, it does use Java which is just as capable of exploit.
