Again... Consequences
What would it look like if we stacked up the consequences (in
lost revenue and time wasted) from the consequences of
Windows malware over the last 6 years. Now lets pile up the
same for Apple. Let's do the math and devide by market share.
How is it that this result is not at issue? This is not about one
Mac flaw vs one PC flaw. This is about cumulative effect. Address
it for once.

Are you here to tell me that in the Apple stack is comparable?
You would have us believe that your personal experience in
being able to secure a Windows box somehow negates the broad
damage to users who are not able, or don't. You flip between the
virtues of the personal argument and the virtues of the market
share argument as it suits. But in this case, if you invoke market
share, you bind yourself and your arguments to all those who
are not as clever as you in securing their box. The problem is
the monoculture. The solution is neither one OS or another, but
the space between them and the ability to switch. Is this sinking
in?

These are products sold commercially and people have
reasonable expectations of function. This is not an oportunity
foor you to self congratulate. You would have us believe that the
cost in learnng curve, time and hardware is not consequential to
the final cost of a PC.

As you pat yourself on the back for objectivity, you do nothing
but exhibit a vanity and need for attention. Some of us have to
live outside the rare air of your existential vaccume. Some of us
admit to bias. The only lie is the claim of a lack of bias.

Waving you hand and pronouncing all computers vulnerable is
like singing kareoke. Spare us. Some of us are prepared to let
this experiment begin. We want to see if an increasing Apple
market share yield a proportionate number of consequences. It's
a risk, we understand the degree to which a smaller market
share has protected us. We want to challenge these systems with
popularity and see what happens. We'll live with the results or
we'll switch, but we will have openned up choice. Tell me why
you seem so dissmissive of arguments that encourage this. Tell
me which part of this post is unreasonable or zealotous.
