Well "security" is one issue yes.
And if it is true only because of relative obscurity so be it....fine.
If it is also true because of the Unix base of OSX also good. If it
is a combination of the two better still.

Ease of use has always been a factor for me...basically I'm lazy.
If I can do something in fewer steps then I'm happy.

Yes I have to say that over the years Apple's products have
proven to be very hardy in my humble opinion we have older
Mac's here that have been in service for many, many years
sometimes as long as 10 or more. You get your moneys worth
when you can use a computer for some level of production for a
decade or more.

As for compatability I find OSX mixes better than OS9 did with
PC's and other OS's. They seem to play very nicely together over
all. Now with Parallels a Mac can do the job of two computers a
Mac and a PC....that alone is sweet!
