Well if you wanted a book...I assumed you did not.
We don't have any older powerbooks in service at this time....all
are new because of the ability with paralles to run OSX and
Windows plus the performance improvements of these new
machines.

We don't use wireless here because our head office in Chcago
still does not trust it's security.

There is not exploit which is key here Shade and you shjould
recognize. This means that Apple has time to repair/fix the
problem and as problems go it's sounds a bit difficult to well
make a problem for me and those machines I support as of yet
at least but since I do support them I will be keeping an eye out
in the press and on the web too see if it turns serious.

Over all I have been more concerned with the heat issues of
these MacBooks than the security issues. I'm glad to hear the
new MacBook Pro runs 40 degree's less hot even though it's a
Dual Core 2...more power less heat....excuse the term..Cool!

Shade do you seriously think that I hold Apple on such a large
pedistal of perfection that the slightest problems and or failures
they have would thow me into tail spin? If that were so the Lisa
and or the Apple III would have done me in years ago. How
about the Cube? Or maybe the first itteration of OSX 10.0 that
was impressive...NOT! Man I can go on and on about the things
Apple has done over the years that have proven to be a dud.
PowerBook 5300 amupme? What I keep saying is that yes Apple
is well a business made up of people....human beings not demi
gods and they fail on occasion whats important too me and
probably many other Apple users is that they keep trying and
more often than not succeed and their products hardware and
software work better for me than others products. End of story.
