Now as I've stated before I never claimed OSX nor Apple was perfect so when these things pop up on occasion they don't throw me into a tissy. First thing I check is am I in any danger? If not I loose a lot of interest...heh heh heh.

That's interesting because I'm exactly the same way when a new "the sky is falling, 0 day exploit" comes out for Windows. Am I affected? No? Yawn. Perhaps the only difference is that I have to go through that thought process more often than you. happy

What has always concerned me about Windows was never so much that it is vulnerable but that there are what over 100.000 pieces of malware.

On the previous point, I'm just like you. On this point though, I'm the opposite. I wouldn't be concerned if there were 100,000,000,000 pieces of malware out there as long as my 2 minutes of work after install protected me from 100% of them. To me, the important number isn't "how many vulnerabilities", nor "how many exploits", it is "how long does it take me to configure my system so it is safe enough from all the malware out there". That is the number that affects me personally. Like you, perhaps I'm selfish, but it doesn't affect me when others are getting hammered by malware, as long as I'm not and as long as I don't have to spend any time or money defending myself from it. With that as my measure, Windows, Linux, and OSX are all great.
