Apple is a Hardware Vendor
Unlike Microsoft (at least on the PC front), Apple is hardware vendor in addition to being a software vendor. And guess what? When you sell hardware, it doesn't matter where it came from; if a part of Apple's hardware has a problem, it is Apple's problem, not some third-part vendor's.
