The term DOS has a specific meaning - article title misleading
The term "denial of service" is a widely used term with a specific
meaning. It renders this term meaningless to broaden the use
from a specific kind of network attack to cover any case where
someone can't perform any particular operation they want to
perform for whatever reason. We already have a word for the
"denial of service" that happens when a program stops working
unexpectedly - its called a crash. Let's not destroy the terms we
have by misusing them.

When you give the article its real title "Crack Team Discovers
Possibility of Crashing Firefox with Flawed Pages" - you
immediately see the motivation for using a sensational title -
this "news" is not significant. If there's any interest in objectivity
at all remaining in ZDnet editing, at least compare apples to
apples. Not browser crashes in FF to spoofing flaws in IE. Is it
impossible to make a web page that crashes IE?
