the "many eyes" thing means that more bugs will be found, and squashed, faster than in closed source software. Not that it will be bug-free ... but that they will be FOUND.

So in reality, we should EXPECT that more OSS/FOSS/FLOSS/insert acronym here bugs would be found than in proprietary systems. Yet even without source code, hackers manage to find as many or more in closed systems. Funny, eh?
