Well it does do the job,
and it does have some very nice features. I do like the class wizard for C++, and even though I still go back and make lots of changes to the header files it generates, the ease of creating a framework for complex classes definitely outweighs its shortcomings. I have actually used it to create classes for Linux applications. I also tend to write, test, and debug non Windows specific parts of Windows apps on Linux. Sorry, I guess I'm guilty of thinking VB or C# whenever Visual Studio is mentioned.
