This feature has absolutely nothing to do with DRM. If they were worried about Waterworld, they would be producing it for desktop use, not exclusively for laptops and other portable devices. Its sole purpose is to keep a thief from gaining access to data on the drive. Your posts usually contain a lot of insight, but you missed on this one by a mile. Save your amo for the real DRM stuff, don't waste it on the decoys.
