Shadetree besides Activation in XP it was too bulky
Which made Win2k better in a business setting.

Also I'm not a fan of the forced hardware upgrades required to upgrade the OS. Then you get some dream world person saying those machines are too old and should be taken out of service.

Linux doesn't require new hardware to run new versions.
