Easily forgotten

is the fact that Microsoft actually stopped defender from exposing some spyware because of some connection they have with the company.
This was done in one of the earlier bete releases of defender or whatever it was called at the time.
I leave it to one of the more informed readers to clarify exactly what they were hiding as I have forgotten.

This is why no one should use Microsoft to protect use.
If Defender is that good then there is another spyware program based on the same Giant code out there and that will be a lot more secure I would hazard a guess.
It is called Counterspy.
