Name some
Just to beat the dead horse - name some Enterprise-level applications for *nix.

Open Office.

I don't think 1 qualifies as "lots". I'd even say it's debatable that it's enterprise-level. But it is a good product.

Since Adobe (who actually bought Macromedia) is the #2 developer of end-user content creation software behind Microsoft, I think they're a pretty good measure. Name a content creation product by either Adobe or Microsoft that runs on Linux.

I'll take it a step further. Look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World's_largest_software_companies and show some examples of which of the world's largest software developers make end-user products for Linux. Yes, many of the server products work on *nix but, the end-user applications never do.

Zero is definitely a long stretch from "lots".

My point is, there is no money in the Linux market for software developers. If there was, you'd think at least 1 of them would create applications for it. That being said, there is also no money in exploiting Linux using botnets or any other kind of spyware. Why? No market share.

I'm sure there are more open-source applications distibuted free every week. Great. Maybe it will increase the linux market to a point that someone will bother creating a botnet for it. Then you'll be wishing you were obscure again.
