Suprise, Suprise,Suprise!
It is clear that Symantec did not learn from Intuit's problems, and loss of customers, due to this draconian 'technology'.

Do not expect an apology from Symantec, though. They are too big to apologize to their customers.

I have not purchased any Symantec products since they incorported this technology.

Intuit lost me to TaxCut last year due to this technology.

I will not purchase any more PowerQuest products because they incorporated this technology into Drive Image 7 (and managed to completely screw up this once wonderful program in many other ways as well).

Dr. Divx has this nonsense built into it, and it makes updating that software a nightmare.

The racing game "Live For Speed", once a wonderful project that had the attention of hard-core race simmers around the world, when released had this 'technology' out of no where. Since it was released, interest in this product has all but evaporated.

But they won't learn...

Fine. There's always other developers.
