Don't get it... talk to your member of congress

You want to know why the government can't secure it's systems? Ask Congress? Ask congress why they demand more of the civilian agencies and cut the budget that is needed to implement the programs? Ask congress why they legislate time tables to implement a program, but not provide enough money to even implement the program. So corners are cut, including security.

Ask your member of congress why they are allowing the president and OMB to pursue HSPD-12 with a schedule that is very unrealistic that when the government waves their flag and says "we're compliant" they are actually putting lipstick on a pig to pretty up the garbage.

Do you want security? Tell your member of congress to stop demanding more of people who are over burdened to begin with and providing fewer resources to do them. You want security? Tell your member of congress to pay for it!!

Think of congress as the government's board of directors and think about how the HP board of directors just screwed HP... except congress has been screwing the government and the people since the 2002 budget! Think about that!
