You know what would help?
An easy to read and easy to follow document/demonstration/whatever that is downloaded and executed along with the patch letting everyone know what security features have been turned on, why they've been turned on, how to turn them off, the dangers of turning them off, and alternatives to turning them off.

In other words, put some of that multimedia they're trying to tell us every OS needs to good use by using it to educate their customer base.

Hopefully they'll do that and lessen the learning curve, at least for those who care learn in the first place.
