Nothing IE dependent?
"Firefox may be nice - although it breaks my web site (and no
there is nothing IE dependent on it) and has had a series of
prblems in rendering
"

I think you have that backwards. Firefox has much better
compliance with W3C CSS, HTML and DOM standards than IE, so
if anything about your site "breaks" in Firefox but not IE, it is
likely that you do have "IE dependent" code, just that you
don't realise it. Try the W3C HTML and CSS validators:

HTML: http://validator.w3.org/
CSS: http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/

"but [Firefox is] still only used by a small minority."

Depending on the site, Firefox has from 20 to 50% usage - let's
say 25% overall.

http://www.w3schools.com/browsers/browsers_stats.asp

If you are running a business and are prepared to turn away 25%
of your customers just because they wear brown shoes instead
of black, you are either: extrodinarily arrogant and don't care
about your customers, or plain dumb.

Which is it for you?
