A news "report" on the "new exciting" 30 known unpatched vulns and a severe
one that is subsequently repealed completely as just sensational talk from people who only want to attract attention to themselves is only matched in quality and intentions by that of the tabloid press. The one you find at the check-out counter at Walmart.

The story that I read reported what people were saying. It didn't say that what they were saying was true.

It sounds like a fine point, but the alternative was to report nothing at all. And if there had in fact been an exploit, that would have ended up being pretty irresponsible, wouldn't it?

The more a tech-news source "publishes" these types of informationless, sensational trash, the more its credibility suffers.

The point is not "fine" but gross news-trasworthiness.
