You are safe...
You are safe from the hackers noticing your beloved little OS. Apple's marketshare will always hover at a pathetically low 5%. And it doesn't matter how many times you say marketshare is not related to vulnerabilities found and exploited. Saying it a million times over and over won't change it.

The fact that MS can release a patch today for a previously unknown vulnerability and tomorrow the hackers will have reverse engineered it and created an exploit should give you a clue. There is no way to patch 700 million Windows systems overnight. That leaves more than enough vulnerable systems to successfully spread such an attack. I don't even think if all Macs were left unpatched that there would be enough to spread a virus. The fact that hackers do not even bother to reverse engineer Apple's patches no matter how many severe holes Apple plugs up constantly should give you at least some kind of clue.

And your little Apache reference is laughable. Let's see, so you have, at every Apache server, some clueless surfer that goes to random websites, clicking on every interesting little link they find? All while the server is not firewalled and locked down? Uhm, no, it should be clear that you can't compare the two. They work in vastly different environments. Let's stick OS X on 700 million desktops and see if fall to pieces. Oh, I forgot, Steve Jobs is too pathetic to get the Mac to anywhere over 5% marketshare.

One day, if/when Apple ever plays in the same arena as the Big Boys, maybe then we can talk. Until then it just a wanna-be OS that has MS's bootprints all over its face.

Now go back to your little troll cave, these here internets are for the big boys...
