No, but we could reassign a couple of those people to another job instead of making cuts in another department to make up for the extra bodies on the help desk.

We don't have the luxury of a single office network to control, otherwise this would be a non-issue. We have 36 district offices all over country...about 15,000 installed users. Many of those are mobile sales types and that's where our biggest virus problem tends to be. The more security we implement, the more the field complains. So we loosen the security strings and BAM! Virus a go-go.

I dream of a network with all our users in one place, and the ones outside we can control their access with VPN's and PKI keys. All the internet connections going through one firewall. What a luxury that would be.
