- Microsoft patches galore

Thanks for the warning, folks.
The problem I see with patches (especially Micro-soft's) is that they, too, will eventually need to be patched. This, in turn, could be a waste of hard drive space.
When I had Windows 95, that needed patches; I also had to upgrade my hard drive. I then updated to Windows 98, only to find out that Mi-
crosoft wasn't going to support that version any more; I had seen just about enough.
Now that I'm running Windows XP, I've noticed the
news about the more reliable patches for older Windows versions. Should my Windows XP need pat-
ches later on, I'll bear the security pros' help
