Your respose is flawed
You seem to think that everyone has the knowledge of computers is the same or better than yours.
I must point out that around 30 to 40 percent of the US homes own a computer. And few of us know how to reinstall an operating system.
I built my own system, and have 4 different hard drives with different OS's. 1 has Win XP, and the others have Linux. Different Linux OS's of course, and my favorite so far is Simply Mepis. The only problem with Linux that I see is that it is not as user friendly. You need to know what command to type often.
I am lucky to be an above average computer user, and know how to reload a system, (which should be done at least once a year after backup anyway), but we should not have to wait until a certain date for a fix for a problem. It should be released immediately.
I am just one of many that are tired of the viruses, tired of spending a bunch of money on an OS new version, (WINDOWS), and having to reload, or spend money to have our systems redone.
I am glad that you are, or appear to be an expert on computers, but what about the average person who wants to us a computer?
