Interesting reading. I don't know Linux so I'm not going to argue with you on any of your points. I would like to point out that on the properly secured Windows Boxes that I have configured, none of them have been compromised either. Especially when the user uses the PC as instructed, but then that's the REAL challenge isn't it?

My real question is, how many hackers are writing hacks for Linux? It seems as though they are more concerned with breaking the evil Microsoft's OS. Probably because there are more systems to attack.

i.e. if 90% of the PC's are running MS's OS and I wanted to do the most damage... why would I bother with Linux or MAC? Does that mean that Linux and the MAC OS are more secure, yes.. in a way. But if they ever got a large enough install base, would they then be the target?... Probably.
