and I thought he was an absolute idiot because the solution to the problem was to do a proper job of systems administration rather than just doing as told by clueless managers.

And about OSX - although the PowerPoint hole exists on PP for OSX, does it really have any effect on that system? Does MS run PP as 'root' on OSX? Did someone really specially craft some malware to exploit this on OSX? Which flavor - PPC or x86?

Come on - go out and help poor Microsoft - you've seen the ads: "buy a Zope, dope!" You can see how they're hurting. If you own shares you'd better prop them up by buying their crappy products.
