I agree.
But still, criminals are still writing code and are trying to cause havoc on everyone's computers running Windows...

So criminals won't leave us alone, and we will have to educate ourselves like (uh...do I have to remind everyone??) opening attachments, carelessly go to different websites (computer illiterates may view websites as TV channels even though it's interactive), etc.

Even if you switch to Firefox or to Linux with Firefox, criminals may try to get a hold of your computer but I bet criminals won't bother looking for exploits in Linux but may look for exploits in Firefox. My opinion is, switching from Internet Explorer to Firefox doesn't mean you'll feel safe browsing (even with Javascript turned on) and you can disable certain features like if you go into Tools, Internet Options, and go to Advanced page, you can uncheck "Enable Install-In-Demand" for Internet Explorer and non-Internet Explorer programs that are designed to work with Internet Explorer, but there's more than disabling install-in-demand. In security page, you can disalbe certain security features and add websites to trusted zone like bankofamerica.com or www.buy.com.

It's just the matter of securing your browser properly, but I bet many "Average Joe" won't bother with it... silly
