- Waxing poetic again?

>>Microsoft definintely deserves praise for this one.<<
Yeah right. How do you figure that they deserve the praise? A third party had to come up with some sort of fix for it before MS got it done. Good for MS for getting it out Early but we will have to wait and see if it breaks anything else.
>>This should be the preferred patch to install and not some 3rd party who doesn't know the system or have access to it.<<
The third party came up with it because MS dragged their feet when this patch was highly needed.
>>The efforts put forth by Microsoft is astounding and shows that they do take security of their software seriously.<<
ROTFLMAO! If they took it so seriously then mayhaps it would have been more secure to begin with? There is only so much that you can blame on having marketshare Lovey.
>>Anyone who bashes this patch just doesn't like security and are hypocrites since they keep yelling that Microsoft hsould release a patch, then when they do they complain.<<
MS should have released a patch for this long ago. If they were as truly on top of things as you seems to think that they are then they would have known about this and fixed it a long time before it became an issue. MS has a long history of patching things only on specific dates regardless of how it takes a toll on their customers. Kudos to them for getting it out early. More kudos if the patch doesn't create more problems than it fixes. But until they make a habit of getting patches out for the 'critical flaws' in a more timely manner, instead of when they deem it necessary.
Now I have many issues with you Lovey. We all know that. =-) It is even kind of fun to spar with you occasionally. However you keep putting MS up on a pedestal so high that they may never be able to get off of should they fall. And eventually will. MS may work for you, but it doesn't for everyone else. It may be the best thing since sliced bread where you are concerned but it isn't for me. I am just as likely to lambast MS as I am to defend them. Same for every other computer maker out there. You lambast ANYTHING that isn't MS or anything that doesn't work with MS. And you nver admit when you are wrong. And you are wrong quite a bit of the time. The sooner you admit your short comings, the sooner (I at least) would have more respect for you and would quit giving you such a hard time. - Posted by: Shelendrea Posted on: 09/27/06 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
