You really think admins are that stupid?
Again another reason why you are clearly not in IT. You think admins haven't always waited until a particular time of the week to apply patches? Come on dude, even you can't be that stupid. The bottom line is this...patches should ALWAYS be made available when they are ready. There should be no reason to ever hold onto a patch, especially to fit some bogus schedule thought up by a pointy headed business type. If sys admins want to apply it the day it comes out, fine. If they want to hold off for once a week, once a month or once a year, that should be their perogative. But this is obviously something you like. You apparently like being told "Yes, we have a patch that would fix your security problem. It's been tested and everything. But you can't have it because it's not Tuesday." Well, guess what... Somebody else beat them to Tuesday and a lot of people took advantage of that. Don't like it? Cry me a river. Some of us care more about the security of our systems than blind loyalty to a company that can't release any software without major security holes.
