There's gotta be something wrong...
Something is wrong when so many laptops either turn up missing or are stolen. These government organizations are simply being irresponsible about the personal information that is in their posession.

It is a relief to know that at least some of the missing laptops were protected with encryption, but the high numbers suggest there needs to be a change in the way organizations handle portable machines; user education, harsher policy for those who lose laptops combined with increased security measures such as Remote Laptop Security (RLS) must be implemented to secure sensitive data...

How many more identity theft cases will it take for people to start taking security breaches and data leaks seriously?
