Here's an idea...
Apple said that the patch they issued had no relation to the Black Hat demo, so if they didn't patch the right stuff, why should Black Hat publish the steps for hacking the Mac when the vulnerability is still there. That's like someone finding a(nother) hole is Windows and publishing the source code for the attack before letting MS patch it. There's something about a software manufacturer that boasts invulnerability, and then has someone else prove they aren't. Macs and Linux distros all claim that they are not vulnerable to attacks, but, as research shows, they are. They have viruses and probably other ad/malware problems, like Windows. They seem to be able to get away with boasting their invulnerability because they don't have the same problems as Windows. So what. As soon as they get as popular as Windows they will have the same amount of problems. Someone in this blog said that Macs have a 4% market share. It wouldn't surprise me if they also have about 4% of the malware problems. As the market share goes up, the problems will follow. This isn't because there will be more problems in the software, just more people taking the time to find them.
