And you must be kidding me...
The majority of XP users use IE7? Are you kidding me? Most XP users only know that their computer is a Windows machine (as in, what type of computer do you have? and the answer is usually: Windows... as if that explains everything... and I don't want any fanbois from ANY camp telling me that it does, because that is just ignorant.) Most users don't even know the name of their browser, just that if you click on it, you can get to the internet.

Now, in the nice very small world that you play in, everyone might know something about computers and take appropriate security measures and upgrade. Of course, if that was true of the rest of world, then I would have no way of making some extra money to pay for college as I make most of my money setting up and generally keeping the ignorant masses' computers from dying, because everyone else will just do whatever they want with their compter, regardless of Spyware (which alot of people doesn't even know exists also).

And if you are thinking of calling me ignorant about computers, don't. I alot of my money from people who have already taken their computer to the shop and it just comes back worse than before or the shop people couldn't figure it out (like ResCom, the computer repair service for students at my college campus... Absolutely horrible...)

Like many techies, you are thinking as a techie, and assume that everyone else does, too. Unfortunetly, techies are in the minority (or maybe not, or we would all be out of jobs). Just remember, the best laid plans never survive contact with the enemy (in this case, the average home user.)
