Can anyone think how this could possibly hope to work without Palladium in some form or another? It sounds to me as if the network would ask the remote PC:

"Are you running any program that hasn't been signed by one of the agencies (*cough* Microsoft) on my list?"

and then refuse to talk to it if it is. The problem here would be that this would have consequences far beyond just viruses and worms.
