In both US and EU antitrust trials Microsoft said they can't unbundle these apps without breaking the OS. ("Apps are not integrated into the OS").

Note there is no logical reason from the programming side to do the above unless you want to prevent the tools easy removal.

Note - that in the embedded (according to NoAx who often writes on these boards) and thai versions, microsoft have performed the impossible (their words) and unbundled.

If you have never got a virus or Trojan, you must have purchased and been running Anti-Virus software.

You can remove anything you want in Linux very easily including the IP Stack by the way.
