here's an idea for security...
..prevent apps which can download scripts from the intenet from having direct access to the system...

Their .Net Smart Client technology does this.
It's great for the Intranet but since the .Net runtime isn't out there it won't work for Internet apps.

I agree, they are getting better but don't know how much they can do with COM based apps.
They trust by default.
