Unsolicited bulk mail / Spam is theft.
Spammers and junk mailers are theives of my personal time, as well as using my tools without my permission. In the case of paper junk mail, the huge bulk of my recycling bill (yes, we have to pay for recycling pick-up in my town.)

Free speech is standing on the corner talking or shouting. Theivery is denying me the use of my property without my permission. Spammers, junk mailers, phone soliciterss, use each of us to "externalize" the cost of their busines model. It's not only an abuse of the commons, it's an abuse of each of our indiviadual rights.
