Not a flame, but I may not be reading what you said correctly.

You said your email servers were blacklisted due to open relays and such. Then you indicated that companies who let their systems be compromised are as bad as spammers. Didn't your email servers become compromised? Does that make you as bad as spammers?

Maybe I don't know the difference between open relays and a hi-jacked system and you weren't hi-jacked, just vulnerable. But if you were hi-jacked, then why would you not be more sympathetic to other companies whose security has been breached?
