That is the most dangerous and complacent statement I have seen so far in this thread.

It is misleading to users who don't research the threat of malware, whatever your OS may be.

Just google on "Apple virus" and "Apple Malware" en suddenly that little bubble will burst.

You could start with reading up on http://www.theregister.co.uk/2006/05/09/mcafee_mac_security_risk/ and maybe take note of SH/Renepo-A (a Mac rootkit) or just stay in your little box of self delusion.

True it is that currently you are more likely to catch something on a Windows machine, but to think that you are safe just because you run OSX and assume there are no rootkits and malware out there makes you just a more easy target to it.

I, for one, have ClamXav running on my Mac and am glad that I do so. I had my run-in with some nasty bits already.
