Why does every Apple patch turn into a flame war?
Patches are good. Patches by Apple or Microsoft are good for
everyone. The irony is that Symantec makes the update sound
like it was a serious bug fix, but in reality it was an update to
Quicktime for better functionality with the iTunes update. So,
they fixed a couple of security issues. That's good! It's not like
they were major problems.

I think PC users don't realize how nice it is to not worry every
time you get on the internet. I would never use Windows for
anything important. It's just not a safe operating system. OSX is
not perfect but it's like Fort Knox compared to XP. That's not a
flame. It's a fact. There are no viruses for Macintosh, no
spyware, adware, rootkits or any of that crap. It just works.
