loss of brand=loss of revenue
Businesses themselves need to start taking responsibility for preventing spam in their name. Too much is put on the recipient of spam to identify and prevent - the end result usually being to ignore ALL email that comes from a bank, online store or other financial entity. Come on, businesses, are you really okay with that? Having a "warning" on you site about suspicious email is not enough to protect your customers.

Accept that your customers may want to hear from you by email, and start setting up a secure means to do so, that legitimizes you while protecting your communication. Email anti-theft tools like Taceo would be a simple solution. Your customers can use it for free to read protected email that is authenticated with encryption and drm technology, and you can really use the power of email effectively and safely.
