DRM could be the answer to your prayers
The more restrictive DRM get the more people will not want it. So if people like you keeping offering products with out DRM you will be offering superior products that will attract more buyers. In the mean time the big corporate music ladden down with DRM scheme after DRM scheme that gets more restrictive each step will be paying more and more money to companies like Microsoft for each DRM scheme. This will cause profits to drop either as the corporations are forced to raise prices to cover the cost or the eat the losses and make less and less profits. Eventually they will run themselves out of business as the competition, people like you, surpass them and buyer move entirely aways from the big corporations.

As long as you are free to put out non DRM music, something I don't see changing, you will be better off in the long run.
