It is interesting that after ALL these years and with all
the high-profile hijacking of personal data, NOW the credit card companies started getting tigether to discuss about the issues....

I am surprised that the consumer is unprotected in the alegedly comsumer oriented societies.

Why did they wait for so long? Everyone has been reading for years the stories of stolen credit card info and the creation of fake ones with the information of legitimate holders. Or the high profile incidences where credit card info was stolen and then the holders were not even notified about it to protect themselves.
