Virus protection has to be 'blended' too
Beyond the anti-virus and firewall software, this means setting security in IE and Outlook higher than shipped default so that nothing can directly execute that way. It means using email filtering to quarantine anything that may be excutable. It means not running services that you don't need. It means blocking unused ports.
