This is yet another Windows specific virus
Its a WIndows virus, of course? When was the last time this site was able to trumpet the arrival of a Linux virus or a Mac virus? If you're a lover of virus, worms and trojans, Windows really must be the OS of choice. Windows fully supports over 80,000 individual virus, worms and trojans, with new ones coming out every day. Hey! Perhaps you'll be one of the lucky Microsoft punters to get their system hosed BEFORE the anti-virus industry can play catch-up and supply a cure? Yippeee, eh?

From Symantec http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.netsky.q@mm.html

Also Known As: W32/Netsky.Q@mm [McAfee], W32/Netsky-Q [Sophos], WORM NETSKY.Q [Trend], Win32.Netsky.Q [Computer Associates], I-Worm.NetSky.r [Kaspersky]

Type: Worm
Infection Length: 28,008 bytes

Systems Affected: Windows 2000, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows NT, Windows XP
Systems Not Affected: Linux, Macintosh, OS/2, UNIX, Windows 3.x

Once again, only people who are paying money to Microsoft, a company making 90% profit from its punters, are vulnerable.

Its a shame that the internet as a whole is continually slowed down and clogged up by Microsoft specific infections like this one. Substandard, virus infested software affects us all. Still, as long as every Microsoft punter is forced to waive any rights they might have to retribution from the predatory monopoly currently making 90% profit on this stinking pile of exploit-ridden, nothing will change, will it. Will it?

90% mark up on Windows :
