How so?
Your argument doesn't make any sense. They are revealing a vulnerable product GROUP. Revealing that a vulnerability has been found in "Office", for instance, and that they're patching it soon, is neither surprising nor helpful for an attacker. In fact, Microsoft Security Advisory 925059 talks about just one such vulnerability that already IS being actively exploited.

Microsoft doesn't disclose the full details of the vulnerabilities, if you actually bothered to read the article. And if you think Microsoft desires to disclose even this amount of information, think again. Microsoft reveals this information because customers requested it, so speak for yourself about what Microsoft would do if they "were really interested in protecting our systems."

Do your homework next time. You sound like an armchair quarterback, even to one of the bigger Microsoft critics in the security business.
