Protecting you from what exactly?

Please do tell me where does the real threat lie?

Let's look at some facts. Exactly how many people died in September 11th attacks? Do you remember? Now, think about how many die in the US of A every year by homicide? Think about how many people die on the streets because they are not fed and protected from the cold? How many people live below the poverty line? How many people will not be able to eat tonight?

It is amazing to see how ignorance and fear can result in an entire nation waiving its rights and giving them back to its government which is doing nothing but spreading FUD. It is amazing to see how your government manipulates the ignorant one by spreading fear because an attack such as 9/11 was so in-your-face and the other, more real and pressing issues are not. What a brilliant way to distract the masses from your government's own faillings; wage war.

I can't understand how a nation such as yours tolerates this and allows it to go on. I can only conclude that ignorance is ripe within your borders.

The only protection that your country needs is from your own government. You need protection from your own foreign policy. You think what al-qaeda is doing / threatening to do is bad now? That is the result of botched up foreign policy, economic hit-men and cia operatives many years ago. In the meantime your government is now creating a whole new generation of young men who see America as an infidel enemy through its unlawful actions in the Middle East and Afghanistan. How would you feel if another country invaded your country and tried to force their greedy, capitalist ways along with their immoral and corrupt system of "democracy". Your democracy is a corpocracy and your government is in the pockets of big business.

Yes, you need protection... from yourselves.
