spam and the ACLU
I was once taken in by the ACLU's propoganda about being an organization that supported civil liberties, especially free speech. When the ACLU turned its back on those publicly protesting abortions, I did some more research.

Found out the ACLU is a cover for a group pushing a very socialist agenda, not the libertarian agenda one would suppose. Supporting Nazi and KKK marches played into the ACLU's early strategy to create fear and disgust of these right wing organizations so that there would be more support for socialist causes, and divert suspiscion from the ACLU. Next came active and comprehensive support for the porn industry, and now the goal is to remove any signs of Christian morality from the public square (totally contrary to free speech and 1st Amendment concepts).

ACLU receives most of its funding from 2 sources - the porn industry and winning attorney fees in lawsuits.

Don't believe me, please research for yourselves.
