The only place you will find that alt OSs are insecure is
Microsoft funded test. I have used Linux for at least 10yrs and if their are any security problems they are fixed so fast that they aren't even worth bringing up.

Windows may work. Just barely. Don't sneeze though or it will fail. I tried for 20yrs and finally gave up. It was literally killing me so I had to go to Linux to get my health back.
